a bit about my approach to making timeless family photos...
My family sessions are designed with kids in mind, and are meant to be casual, fun, and truly authentic. Using a unique session format, I combine casual lifestyle portraiture with a more documentary approach, allowing me to create images that reflect the power of authentic human connection. As a firm believer in relaxed, stress free and “kid first” family photos, I love working with natural light and wild settings (inside or out, haha), where kids have room to move, explore and be themselves. As part of my kid first approach, I don't often ask kids to smile, especially if they are having a tough time. Instead, I encourage children to engage with the world around them...explore nature, run, skip, twirl...whatever works to create a positive experience for them. Will we always get perfect smiling studio photos using this approach? No. Will we get photos of your kid's being themselves? Yes!
I offer both limited (you choose 10 images to keep, with the option of purchasing more), or inclusive packages (you get all of your best images).

Outdoor Family Session- full
This is an all inclusive session, meaning that you get all of your best images. Great for larger families, or those wishing to spend some extra time, these sessions include time for posed portraits, along with lots of time to roam, play, snuggle and explore.
Session Details:
*These sessions take place at the location of your choosing. I can also help you choose a location if you like!
*Includes 45-50 minutes session time
*Suitable for up to 8 members of the family. Pets are welcome, depending on the location chosen.
*Your fees include session time, and 45-55 images delivered via fully downloadable client gallery (you get all of your best images)
*These sessions can take place at the outdoor location of your choosing. This could include a local park, the beach, or your own backyard. If you can't decide on a location, I'm happy to offer suggestions.
Price: $365 + HST
Please note that a non - refundable retainer fee of $125 is due upon booking, with the remaining balance due on or before your session date.
Outdoor minis
These affordable mini sessions are available year round! 10 complimentary image downloads are included in your session fees, with the option to purchase additional images if you wish. These sessions work well for families with younger children!
SESSION DETAILS:
These sessions take place at Harold Town Conservation Area all year round, and are great for families with young children, couples or pet parents, and individual portraits. Harold towns is a beautiful conservation area located on the outskirts of Peterborough, and features a network of trails great for hiking, biking and dog walking. The landscape includes tall grasses, wild flowers, cedar, sumac, and even a few apple trees! Parking and washrooms (seasonal) are available onsite. Please note, there is an abundance of golden rod here in the late summer if you suffer from allergies.
*Includes up to 20 minutes session time
*Suitable for up to 5 people, pets are welcome too!
*Your fees include session time, an online client gallery, and 10 complimentary image downloads with the option to purchase additional images.

At Home Family Session
Home is where we all feel most comfortable, so let's get some pictures of your family just being...you! We'll have time for some posed portraits, along with lots of time for snuggles and play, and fun... indoors and out.

*Includes up to 90 minutes session time
*Suitable for up to 6 members of the family.
*Your fees include session time, an online gallery, and 45-55 images (you get all of your best images) .
*These sessions will take place at your very own home where we can make use of both indoor and outdoor spaces!
Price: $425 + HST
Please note that a non - refundable retainer fee of $175 is due upon booking, with the remaining balance due on or before your session date.
